Trending Dealers values your privacy.

Trending Dealers, as a growing premier marketplace, values your privacy above everything else. We understand the risks that are taken when providing information online and we aim to be as transparent with our dealers and customers as much as possible to maintain a harmonious relationship with each other. 

AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTED INFORMATION

As part of the technology used to run Trending Dealers, information from your device is collected automatically when you visit our website and while you browse through the other pages. 

Device Information is what we call the information that gets collected from your device as soon as you visit Trending Dealers. Initially, we collect information about your web browser, IP address, timezone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. As you browse further into the pages of the website, more information will be collected, such as information about the individual web pages or products that you have visited, what websites or search terms referred you to Trending Dealers, and how you interact with our website.

Log Files track the actions made on the website, collect data using your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, referring or exit pages, and time and date stamps. 

Web beacons, tags, and pixels are electronic files used to record information about how you navigate the website. 

VOLUNTARILY COLLECTED INFORMATION

Online marketplaces are platforms for buyers and sellers to conduct business without the restrictions of physical location. Similar to the traditional set up, your personal information will not be collected by Trending Dealers without your consent. 

Identity Information like your name, email address, phone number, and address do not get collected automatically when you visit Trending Dealers. Your identity information will only be received by Trending Dealers when you fill out the forms upon signing up as a dealer or as a customer. 

Payment Information from customers are only needed when purchasing items from our dealers. As you process the purchase of the items you have selected, you will be prompted to input the necessary information such as your name, address, and credit card information. Without your transactions on Trending Dealers, we will not be asking for these. 

Messages between dealers and customers are generally collected on the Trending Dealers server for security purposes. Whenever you initiate a conversation, the exchanges will be recorded to ensure that no member of the Trending Dealers community will be violating any of our policies. 

Feedback and Comments that are posted on products and seller profiles are collected voluntarily as well. As a customer shopping on Trending Dealers, you will be prompted to leave comments and your feedback as you complete your transactions to help our dealers provide better service to the community. 

Social Media Information, similar to your Identity Information, will not be collected without your consent too. The information you have on social media will only be collected by Trending Dealers when you choose to connect your social media accounts to our website. 

Website Logins are stored on Trending Dealers as soon as you sign up on our website along with your Identity Information. It is part of the information you will be asked to give to become a part of the Trending Dealers community, but it does not get automatically collected upon visiting the website.  

Preferences are also collected by the Trending Dealers server when you begin using our marketplace. These include your preferences for display, notification settings, marketing communications, and more. 

WHAT IS THE DEVICE INFORMATION FOR?

The Device Information that is automatically collected by Trending Dealers is used to help us screen potential risk and fraud to help secure all of the information that members of our community will be sharing. 

The collected information also helps us improve and optimize the Trending Dealers site for a better overall experience for both dealers and customers in the community. This includes generating reports and analytics that will help us better understand how our customers navigate and interact on the website, and further assess the success of our marketing and advertising efforts.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Generally, all of the information that Trending Dealers will collect from you will be used to fulfill the transactions you will be making within the community. This includes processing your payment, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and order confirmations. 

Additionally, the information you provide will also be used to communicate with you and to help us secure all orders from potential risk or fraudulent activity. 

As part of our pledge to encourage the growth of all the members of our community, your information will also be used as an avenue to provide you with information or advertising related to our products or services if the preferences you have selected allow us to do so. 

WHO CAN ACCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

The information that is collected by Trending Dealers will be shared with third parties to help us keep the community operating for the benefit of its members. 

Trending Dealers is powered by Shopify and all the information we receive will be available to them for the same purposes as well. You can read more about how Shopify uses your Personal Information here. 

Google will also gain access to the information you share on Trending Dealers since we use Google Analytics in order to give our customers exemplary service and an outstanding experience on the site. Google Analytics generates reports to help Trending Dealers better understand and analyze the behavior of each user on the site, which is helpful for the optimization process. Finally, all Personal Information collected during the signup process and all of your transactions on Trending Dealers may also be shared when needed to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights. 

MARKETING AND ADVERTISING

Another use for the information we receive at Trending Dealers is to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications that we believe may be of interest to you. 

The information we collect automatically along with the tools we use and the experts on our team will help us determine the best promotions, offers, and products for you based on your activity on Trending Dealers and the places that redirected you to us. 

These targeted advertisements and marketing communications are completely optional. You may set your preferences within Trending Dealers to stop receiving them.

DO NOT TRACK

Trending Dealers will not alter our data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

DATA RETENTION

All of the information that we receive on the Trending Dealers website will be kept and maintained in our records to better control the community that we are growing unless a request for deletion is submitted. 

CHANGES

This privacy policy is not permanent and may be updated from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes in operational processes or for other legal or regulatory reasons.

Dealers – Please, only select “Variable” products if your product comes in different variations, for example: You have one T-shirt that comes in multiple different sizes (S, M, L).

When you select “Variable” product, you must choose ‘variable’ from ATTRIBUTES. (Which can be located further down the page) If the desired attribute is not there, please contact us so we can potentially add it.

FYI: “Simple” product will work best for most product types. Again, “Variable Product” is only needed for one single product that has different variables like sizes, colors, etc. We encourage you to add product attributes on both simple and variable products to improve search and filter results. On a “Simple” product attributes are optional but on a “Variable” product they are required.

    Your Name:

    The vast majority of images will upload easily and successfully.

    If you are having trouble uploading an image it is probably due to one of the following reasons:

    1.The file type is incorrect.
    You can only upload file types .jpg, .jpeg, and .png

    We recommend using JPEG when ever possible.
    You can most likely change the file type if needed by right clicking on the image and selecting:
    Quick Action > Convert Image
    Format: “JPEG”
    Image size: “Actual size” (Unless you need to change size, then choose accordingly)

    2. The files size is too large
    You can only upload files up to a maximum of 1920 pixels. Files above that size will be resized – and it may be reshaped in the process. Try to use square images as far as possible to avoid reshaping.
    The resizing will only work on images less than 2mb in size. Above that, the resizing doesn’t work and the image upload will fail.

    3. Uploading directly from an iPhone or Android

    If you are having trouble uploading from your mobile device. Always make sure you are using the correct image file type. If you are we recommend:

    First: Please check you are using the latest IOS or OS. If not update the software on your phone. Our system is constantly updating and works best from the latest operating system.

    Second: Try taking a “screenshot” of image and uploading the screenshot instead of the original image.

    If you are still having trouble on your phone you can re-try again on a laptop, desktop or tablet. No matter your device running the latest operating system will work work best. If still experiencing issues, please contact us dealersupport@trendingdealers.com

    4. Shape of the images
    The images should be square and 1000px by 1000px. If you upload other shapes or sizes the image may be resized but you risk the image being cropped and looking strange.
